Manually add a download

In order to manually add a new download to Loadkit:

  1. Get address of the file
  2. Enter the address in Loadkit
  3. Confirm download

Get address of the file

First step of manually adding a download is having address (link or URL) of that file on the internet or local network. You may copy address of a download link when browsing the web, copy it from a different source or enter it manually.

Enter the address in Loadkit

In order to enter the address in Loadkit:

  1. Select Downloads from Hamburger Menu to navigate to the Downloads page
  2. Click Add (+) button to open Add Download dialog
  3. Enter the address in the Address text box
  4. Click Go button

Note 1: If a download link already copied a link into clipboard, it will appear in the Address textbox. In this case, step 4 is not needed.

Note 2: After pressing the Go button, Loadkit retrieves file information before proceed to next step. If an error occurs an error message will be displayed.

Confirm the download

After adding the download in the Add Download dialog, Confirm Download dialog appears. Confirm the download to complete the process.

Use integration modules to add a download

Integration Modules allow you to download a file without copy-pasting its address manually.

  1. Install integration module on your browser
  2. Click on a download link in your browser
  3. Confirm the download

Use the in-app browser to add a download

Downloads can be added to Loadkit through in-app browser in two ways:

  • Automatic download detection
  • Download from context menu

Note: You may also use the manual approach through in-app browser as well as other browsers.

Automatic download detection

The in-app browser automatically detects downloads when you click on a download link or when a page returns a file that is not displayable in the in-app browser. In Premium version of Loadkit, detected downloads are directed to the Add Download dialog by default:

  1. Select Browser from Hamburger Menu to navigate to the Browser
  2. Browse to a web page that contains a download link
  3. Click on the download link
  4. Confirm the download


In free version however, detected downloads are displayed in New Download dialog. You need to manually copy the address from this dialog and use the manual approach to add the download:

  1. Select Browser from Hamburger Menu to navigate to the Browser
  2. Browse to a web page that contains a download link
  3. Click on the download link
  4. Click Copy Address button in New Download dialog to copy address of the file
  5. Open Downloads
  6. Click Add (+) button to open Add Download dialog
  7. Enter the address in the Address text box
  8. Click Go button
  9. Confirm the download

Context Menu

To add a download from context menu:

  1. Select Browser from Hamburger Menu to navigate to the Browser
  2. Browse to a web page that contains a download link
  3. Right click (or hold on a touch device) on the link to open context menu
  4. Click Download
  5. Confirm the download

Note: This feature is available in Premium versiononly.

Use Action Center to add a download

You can add downloads though without opening the app:

  1. Get address of the file
  2. Enter the address in Action Center
  3. Make sure the download is added successfully

First step of adding a download from Action Center is having address (link or URL) of that file on the internet or local network. You may copy address of a download link when browsing the web, copy it from a different source or enter it manually.

Enter the address in Action Center

Action Center Integration (Desktop)
  1. Open Action Center
  2. Click on the expand button of the Download notification
  3. Select a queue if you want to schedule the download (Premium only)
  4. Enter the address or paste it if you already copied the address
  5. Click Download to start download or Postpone to start the download later

Note 1: If Download notification does not appear in the Action Center, check if it this option is enabled in General Settings

Make sure the download is added successfully

A few seconds after adding the download, you'll be notified through Action Center about success/failure of the operation.
